Indalu, derived from the Xhosa word for “nature”, is a stunning game reserve situated 30 km from Mossel Bay, 20 km from Albertinia and just 2 km off the N2 towards Cape Town. Indalu is situated on the world-renowned Garden Route of South Africa which is arguably the best adventure holiday destination. Indalu is blessed with roaming hills and valleys of the Renosterveld type of the Fynbos biome and is only a few kilometres away from the shores of the southern coastline of the Western Cape. An imposing steel gate welcomes you and promises a journey to explore the beautiful variety of fynbos fauna and flora. The malaria-free area boasts a moderate climate with temperatures between 23°C and 35°C from October to April and between 5°C and 18°C from May to September.

The experienced elephant guides take guests on an authentic, intimate interaction and walk with the elephants which opens up a new world of understanding of these highly intelligent, social and emotional animals. Guests that stay over marvel at the diverse wildlife visiting the waterholes, enjoy unwinding evenings under the star-studded skies beside a dancing fire and experience a choir of night calls. Wildlife has an uninterrupted flow through 800 hectares of land allowing guests to embrace the freedom of the unspoilt African wilderness.
